What to write on a Physician of Gor's oath? Discussion was started in PCOG and we thought it would be fun to see what people include in their oath when becoming physicians. Please sign in if you want your name private it is hidden if you want to use your SL name. I will enjoy seeing what you write.

Our codes are not like the warriors, they are not strict rules. They are guidelines that should be followed to the best of one's ability.
1) A Physician shall never cause harm in an Infirmary, including branding, cutting of the hamstring or any action causing physical pain.
2) A Physician shall always heal when those are in need, friend or foe unless in a time of war, where doing so would aid or abet the enemy.
3) A Physician will always have the authority over any man or woman who enters his Infirmary, unless that man or woman is the Administrator of his or her city.
4) A Physician will never charge the citizens of his or her own city for his or her services, A Physician may however accept payment from them if given. Those not of his or her city may be charged, but one should take code 2 into consideration if the person in need of healing is not capable of payment.
5) A Physician should remain professional at all time with his patients, this rule apply specifically in dealing with kajirae or Kajira. A Physician should never go beyond his professional boundary and place his or her patient in an uncomfortable situation or violate his or her patients rights or restrictions.
6) An apprentice Physician will never heal without guidance of a full Physician, doing so could result in temporary suspension from the Caste or permanent exile depending on the situation and the extent of healing given.
7) A Physician is allowed access to any area of his or her city when on duty, when in these areas one should remain strictly professional. When not on duty, he or she will remain restricted from these areas. Abused of this privileged is permanent exile from the Physicians Caste. Areas like this may include, administrative buildings, warrior halls, kennels and private apartments.
8) A Physician must be given the right to investigate the death or critical injury of a patient, if by natural causes or un-natural causes. This could lead to an investigation into a crime in which the city of the Physician should give full co-operation. If information is uncovered a Physician is not to take action and is to report his findings directly to the Warriors Caste, Magistrate or Administration of the city.
